Solo Resources can report a very exciting and successful 2010 Electra Mining Show. Our 50m2 stand in Hall 6 was well situated, giving visitors a clear view of the open plan stand. Large clear photographs provided the client with a view reminiscent of being on the actual processing plant.
A working model of the CPT flotation column attracted a lot of interest, keeping our principal representative from the USA very busy discussing the merits as well as demonstrating the array of spargers on offer.
The Rossiter brothers from Ionex Separations Inc were kept occupied as their display generated a lot of interest in the novel Continuous Ion eXchange technology and the new South African ‘home grown’ RDA, recently exported to the USA for a Rhenium Recovery project. Interest was received from refiners, smelters, water treatment organisations, recycling practises and governmental utilities.
OptoSort with their sensor based sorting technology attracted a lot of interest from customers who recognised, inter alia, the potential of the technology in reducing waste prior to processing, recovering diamonds from concentrate streams as well as dump recovery. Sepro displayed their array of equipment including their tyre driven mills and scrubbers, Falcon gravity concentrators and Atalay screens for ultra fine wet or dry screening. With the current gold price the modular gravity plants capable of treating some 2 – 5 tph generated a lot of interest.
A constant flow of existing clients popping in to say hello and catch up over a cold beverage rubbed shoulders with other visitors interested in our technology, making for some interesting conversations and swapping of ideas. The staff from Solo Resources were very ably supported by our principals who flew in from Canada, the USA and Germany. Many thanks to them for travelling all this way!
